FAQs
Who will be successful in DTTAC Virtual Lifestyle Coach Training™?
A successful virtual trainee is someone who can plan out their learning assignments every week and find time to complete them on their own while reflecting on and making connections with the material over time. Trainees will be given opportunities to share insights and ask questions throughout the four week course through discussion boards and in live sessions. There will also be some optional activities and resources to enhance the overall learning experience.
What is the registration fee for DTTAC Virtual Lifestyle Coach Training™?
The registration fee is $649 per person, which includes all materials and expert instruction from a DTTAC Master Trainer. This registration fee also includes access to one program implementation webinar, as recommended by CDC.
Continuing education credits are available for an additional $25. Applications have been submitted to offer CEUs for registered dietitians, certified diabetes educators, nurses, health educators, and pharmacists.
What is different between the virtual Lifestyle Coach training and the in-person training?
The biggest difference between a live in-person training and virtual training is the method of delivery. However, the content and key concepts are very similar between the two.
The length of in-person Lifestyle Coach training is two full days, whereas DTTAC Virtual Lifestyle Coach Training delivers the content over four weeks. In the virtual training, the learning activities build upon one another and the flexible pace and spacing offer opportunities to engage the content in multiple touchpoints – e-learning, virtual classroom sessions, individual activity and reflection, and online discussion board – for optimal learning and preparedness to be a successful Lifestyle Coach. The length of time required for each activity varies from 5 minutes to 30 minutes with the total training time between 14-16 hours.
The total training time for both the virtual and in-person Lifestyle Coach training meets the CDC training requirement of a minimum of 12 hours of training.
